FAMILY SERVICES

Back 2 School Store

A two-day event set up like a department store. Adult volunteers escort children as they select clothing and supplies in their favorite colors and styles, many receiving new items for the first time in their lives.

Court Advocacy

Trained volunteers help people in crisis negotiate the court system.

SIBS Place

Program for children 5-17 years of age who have a seriously ill sibling or parent with cancer.

Sulam-LI

Volunteers with this program enable children with special needs to reach new heights in their Jewish education.

ADULT SERVICES

Center For Adult Life Enrichment (CALE)

Senior volunteers participate in new and exciting programs, classes and lectures.

Knitting Program

Volunteers knit and/or crochet unique lap and baby blankets which are donated to Children’s hospitals or Children’s wards.

CHILDRENS SERVICES

Campership

Children who have financial needs are sent to summer sleep-away camp for a life-changing

experience.

Five Town Early Learning Center (FTELC)

Our volunteers help young children in this program located in Inwood.

Intergenerational Reading
Young readers are encouraged by a volunteer to share and enjoy reading experiences. Pre-School Dental & Vision Screening

These programs teach good health habits. Our volunteers examine, test and uncover possible dental and/or vision issues. When problems are detected, parents are informed.

ISRAEL

We support women, children and families throughout Israel regardless of ethnicity, religion and economic status. The Cedarhurst Park was donated and is maintained by NCJW Peninsula Section.

UNIVERSALLY ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUND

The playground located in Cedarhurst was donated and is maintained by NCJW Peninsula Section.
